Important Notice

Effective September 1, 2008, in order to be eligible for a V rating at GSDCA-WDA sanctioned shows, dogs born after January 1, 2004 must have an “ED” stamp with the result “normal”, “fast normal”, or “noch zugelassen” in the pedigree.

 Effective, March 1, 2008. An original current Breed Survey Certificate (Korschein) shall suffice as acceptable proof of the verification of the tattoo requirement for German Shepherd Dogs as required by the GSDCA-WDA. The Breed Survey Certificate shall have been issued by a country whose Breed Survey Certificates are accepted under the rules and guidelines of the GSDCA-WDA and the SV.

Effective January 1, 2008, ALL dogs born after January 1, 2004 must have an elbow “ED” stamp issued by the SV before they may be breed surveyed through the GSDCA-WDA. OFA elbow certifications are NOT accepted by the SV. SV “ED” stamp applications for elbows are available ONLY from Joy Schultz at the GSDCA-WDA office, wdaoffice@cfl.rr.com or 1-386-736-2486.

If you are having difficulty finding a Veterinarian that does x-ray film, there is a service available that can convert CD’s to film. Contact Joy at wdaoffice@cfl.rr.com or 386-736-2486 for more information.
